OMIAH Pursuits

Opportunity Research for Contractors & Fabricators

Specialty businesses often have valuable capabilities that are difficult to describe in a generic prospect list. OMIAH Pursuits starts with what the company can deliver and investigates where those capabilities could create a commercial opening.

Understand the capability

A fabrication company may combine design coordination, machining, finishing and installation. A specialty contractor may have unusual technical experience, local responsiveness or the ability to handle a contained part of a larger project. Research needs enough detail to understand those strengths without assuming that every related project is suitable.

Find the context in which it matters

Potential openings can include facility upgrades, exhibit installations, marina improvements, commercial interiors, wayfinding programs or subcontracting relationships. These are research directions, not claims about current demand. For each finding, the work is to establish what is happening, who is responsible and whether there is a credible role for the business.

Check the practical fit

Before recommending a pursuit, consider geography, project scale, capacity, technical requirements, delivery timing and procurement conditions. A nearby project may require credentials or resources the company does not have. A less obvious account may be a better fit if the scope aligns closely with existing work.

Give the team something to assess

The brief brings together the opening, relevant evidence, capability match, buyer or partner roles, uncertainties and a possible first move. The company can use it to assess whether to seek clarification, share relevant examples, approach a partner or decline. Any outreach should accurately describe the company's actual experience.

Begin with your real work

Share your website and examples of the work your company already delivers. Explain your service area, preferred project types and where you have capacity or want to grow. OMIAH uses that context to discuss a research scope. Initial contact is by email; there is no portal or account to create.
